Artist: Group of Two Steps from Hell at first looks vzgyad inexperienced newcomer to the trailer music scene. Yes, it was founded in February 2006, but to his credit more than a dozen albums.
Its founders and composers - Thomas Bergers (Thomas Bergersen) and Nick Phoenix (Nick Phoenix). Down a long time writing music for radio and television, made arrangements for full-length movies ("Garfield 1-2", "A Cinderella Story"). The second worked in another trailer music collective - Music Junkies, and last year recorded with renowned electronics engineer BT album, "300 Years Later». And if Bergens special orchestration, symphonic music and choir, the Phoenix is clearly more inclined to electronics, guitar rock and indastrielu. With Minimal, Sonokinetic BV delivers the fourth instalment in our current range of orchestral instruments. We have listened to our users, and built an entirely new system from the ground up, defining what we think is a revolutionary novel direction in orchestral pattern-based sampling.

Minimal would suggest a particular music style, and many of the patterns available in this instrument are very well suited for that style. However, we’d like to stress that this is indeed a very flexible instrument, capable of enhancing a broad range of musical arrangements and compositions in a wide variety of styles. Where Minimal differs from libraries like Tutti and Vivace is in its section-based approach. All phrases are recorded per orchestral section and can be used separately or together and in any combination, allowing for a great deal of variations at your fingertips.

So for this special package, we donned our comedy Santa hats and recorded 6 different sizes of sleigh bells, ranging from just one bell to a 25 bell stick. The samples were captured using apogee hardware and a violet audio flamingo stereo microphone.

We’re providing loops in two tempi. Using Kontakt’s Time Machine function and our in-house developed ITM (Intelligent Tempo Mapping) the loops will adapt to your carol seamlessly. We have captured two meters (3/4 and 4/4) and two feels… straight(ish) called ‘trot’ and a shuffle-feel ‘gallop’ which Rudolph tells us keeps him in perfect sync with the other reindeer.
